Don't Ask Too Many Questions in the Entry Form
The more information you try to collect, the more people will not want to enter the contest. A function center specializing in weddings recently tried giving away a free wedding but was surprised at the lack of entries. As well as requiring a video entry, the entry form wanted to know proposed wedding date, number of guests, and how much did the entrants think guests would spend on an open bar if they won.
Keep the entry form as short and as easy as possible - ask only for a name, email and/or phone number. You can get other information later in a follow-up to entrants.
